I came to Inspired Fitness 6 months ago not knowing exactly what to expect since I had never been a member of a gym before and was delighted to discover a wonderfully supportive environment that pushes me…
I started at Inspired Fitness roughly 2 months ago, on the heels of a nagging back injury that limited my ability to exercise for close to 6 months. Within just a few weeks of classes, I had recovered…
After hanging up my soccer shoes having played for 15+ yrs. I took to the gym for my fitness fix. I missed the outdoors & wanted to take my fitness work back outside, so I took on the Muddy Buddy challenge. Good idea!
When I walked into Inspired Fitness back in January, I literally had not darkened the doorway of a gym in over a decade. I felt weak and completely out of shape, and I knew that the time had come for me to finally do something about it.
After 25 years of trying to stay fit exclusively by cycling, and having reached "a certain age," we realized we needed to expand our exercise horizons to improve our strength, over-all fitness, and range of motion. After trying another gym and some self-directed exercise at home, we found that the good people at Inspired Fitness and their wide variety of classes give us just what we need.
After I got my first hip replacement in 2004, My hip became infected two years later and I needed a replacement. I asked them to look at the other hip because it was giving me some troubles. Long story short, I ended up getting two hernias and I was at bed rest for 8 weeks with no hip cuff or rod but instead an antibiotic rod.
When I was young I was very active with sports, ultimate frisbee, hiking and sea kayaking. Then I went to grad school and got a job that had me in front of a computer a lot of the time. This "desk reality" combined with a full life as a dad and husband has led me to be more out of shape than I have ever been
My name is Fiona and I moved to Sebastopol about a year ago. Exercise has been a key part of my life for as long as I can remember. For over 2 years I wasn’t able to incorporate it due to illness. When I was ready to get back to it, I was intimidated—afraid of how hard it would be.
My husband Ian and I found Inspired Fitness through our dear friend Heather Aiello, one of the amazing personal trainers who I'm so grateful married into my crazy family. Heather started whipping me into shape twice a week until I got strong enough to do the classes.
Amy was a kick ass 5:30 a.m. boot camp chick when we first started dating three years ago. I know because she dragged me there a couple times and the 30 pound kettle bell swings nearly threw my back out of whack. This was down in Oakland.
I've only been going to Inspired Fitness since the beginning of this year and already feel like its home. I have never gone to a gym that is so welcoming and motivating in my life. I look forward to going and each instructor brings something unique and awesome to every class.
All these years, I've never found an exercise routine that has clicked, nor have I been a fan of gyms and fitness classes. Since we joined Inspired Fitness last fall, I've built a daily habit and desire to be healthy and stronger.
I was initially drawn to Inspired Fitness because of their BeachBody affiliation and their Barlow location. I was familiar with several of the BeachBody classes like P90X, PiYo and CIZE, so I thought it would be fun to experience those classes in a group setting.
I joined IF last spring after a long and stressful year of working and taking care of my elderly parents. Once they were settled, it was time to focus on my physical self. First I met with Lisa for some personal training (she's fabulous) to get a jump start, then moved to classes.
Last summer I wandered into Inspired Fitness looking for a trainer to gain strength for a hiking trip to Bhutan in the Himalayas. I found sweet Ana and she skillfully trained me for ten weeks to prepare for the adventure.
Inspired Fitness has chosen the perfect name, because I certainly feel inspired. I'm inspired to lay out my gym clothes the night before a class like a little girl and fill up my water bottle to be ready. I'm inspired to wake up at 5:15 am and get a great workout in while still getting home in time to share breakfast with my family.
I joined Inspired in Sep 2015. I love the variety of classes and the upbeat vibe. I do Bootcamp, Yoga, PiYo, TRX, Spin and Pilates and I love them all. I feel like this is a very female friendly gym where the staff have a great attitude and everyone knows your name!
I am not a gym rat. I am the kind of guy who signs up for the gym, goes a few times, pays for a couple of months, and then gives up. Inspired Fitness is the first training center I have been to where I feel the motivation and get the support to meet my goals.
Inspired Fitness was fun and welcoming from the minute we walked in the door. It was as if they knew us right away! The instructors have engaging & high energy personalities that strike the right note between "cool chicks we would like to hang out with" and "tough chicks whose workout demands we'd better heed"
I love Inspired Fitness! I've only been a member for a couple of months but I'm so happy working out in this beautiful place with excellent coaching. As a working mother of four active kids I have to be rather efficient with my workouts, and the classes at IF are perfect for getting in a great workout.
Since I joined Inspired Fitness a year ago, I have been working out more intensely than I ever have in my life. I've gone to various other gyms over the years but being more of an awkward bookworm than an athlete, the typical gym environment never felt like a good fit for me.
Hey there! My name is Megan Cronin and I am 27 years old and live in Sebastopol. I recently got engaged this past year and am getting married in April of 2016! I immediately wanted to join a gym so that I could start getting in shape for my big day!
