After hanging up my soccer shoes having played for 15+ yrs. I took to the gym for my fitness fix. I missed the outdoors & wanted to take my fitness work back outside, so I took on the Muddy Buddy challenge. Good idea! Until you crash your bicycle and break your leg…bummer. Thank gosh for being healthy & fit. Two surgeries in 3 yrs. was rough, but the benefits of having worked to build a strong core and arm strength were my saving grace for speedy recoveries. Truly! For me, the accident really reinforced how important it is to stay fit! You never know what life will throw at you. Keeping a base/foundation of functional fitness strength and moderately healthy eating habits (yes I could benefit from the 21 day Reset, Jenn) really are keys for me; not only for attacking day to day activities but as important if not more, to have that strength and health for life’s unexpected challenges as well!
Five months ago I walked into Inspired Fitness and met Tia. After a few weeks of mixing it up with Boot Camp, TRX, Spin/Combo, Yoga, and PiYo, I was hooked and joined up. I truly enjoy the mix of classes (CIZE too-the mental workout!). I love ALL of the instructors; each unique, inspirational, enthusiastic motivators challenging me to keep working hard and have fun doing it! I like that each class is well run, prepped in advance; safety first; personal shout outs of encouragement, and a genuine care for each participant. No dilly dallying…classes are on time and power packed. My goals are to keep fit, functionally…so I can hoist up the 30-40# bag of dog food or potting soil; easily jog up & down 3 levels of stairs to my seats at the ballgame; and lug my own dive gear. I hope to complete the Muddy Buddy challenge or take the Spartan “sprint” race challenge in SF in 2017; either being a huge challenge for me. I know with the inspiration of the IF coaches led by Jenn, I can do it! Thank you Inspired Fitness; you have made a difference for me.
