A doorway to a deeper practice through the Yamas & Niyamas. This 6 session deep dive is about finding  and following an authentic life both on and off your mat. Move beyond your physical practice and learn how to integrate the 8’fold path into your everyday life.

Deepening your understanding of the 8 Limbs of Yoga (The Yamas &  Niyamas) your asana practice will not only expand but can be integrated into everyday life.  While yoga is most accessible to the masses through movement (asana, the third limb of yoga), the other 7 limbs can be used as a source to not only strengthen your physical practice but can help you embody the soul of yoga and provide a doorway to a deeper practice of self.

The philosophy of Yamas and Niyamas combine a solid base for a balanced life. They encompass most of the challenges that people face from others and themselves. Whether you’re a practitioner of yoga or have never stepped on the mat, the principles drawn from the ancient texts can strengthen your foundation and help you to embody the soul of yoga in your teachings and in your life.

Who This Is For: Anyone who wishes to experience a deep interpersonal dive into connection with self for more inner peace, strength and balance. 
Dedicated students of yoga who feel the calling to go deeper, integrating the philosophy of yoga into their daily life & practice.

You Will Receive:
Six weeks of guided study and practice
• Licensed Psychotherapist co- leading discussions with Jennifer Fujii that will offer new paths and perspectives on how you interact with yourself and the world around you. 
• Deep study of the Yamas and Niyamas
• Seated practices, including lectures, discussion, meditation, pranayama, mantra, journaling for self-study and contemplation for each week
• Asana practices designed to explore each of the 8 Limbs and each Yama and Niyamas

THE YAMAS
Ahimsa (Non-Violence) – Practicing compassion and forgiveness
Satya (Absence of Falsehood) – Becoming trustworthy to yourself
Asteya (Non-Stealing) – Accepting that what is here is enough
Brahmacharya (Moderation) – Being awake to the senses but not led by them
Aparigraha (Non-Grasping) – Allowing things to come and go

Saucha (Cleanliness) – An everyday clarification of your spaces and practices.

True Breath Pranayama Workshop

Develop a new understanding of what it means to breathe beyond your basic inhale/exhale. 

Pranayama is control of Breath. "Prana" is Breath or vital energy in the body. On subtle levels prana represents the pranic energy responsible for life or life force, and "ayama" means control. So Pranayama is "Control of Breath". 

This 4-hour, True Breath, pranayama workshop, is designed to build a conscious and joyful relationship with your breath both on and off the mat. You’ll lengthen and strengthen your breathing with progressive patterns and guided meditations, which will transform your practice and improve your health on and off the mat. 

Matching a different breath with each of the 8 Limbs of Yoga (The Yamas &  Niyamas) your asana practice will only deepen.  While yoga is most accessible to the masses through movement (asana, the third limb of yoga), the other 7 limbs can be used as a source to not only deepen your physical practice but can help you embody the soul of yoga both on and off your mat. 

One can control the rhythms of pranic energy with pranayama and achieve healthy body and mind. Patanjali in his text of Yoga Sutras mentioned pranayama as means of attaining higher states of awareness, he mentions the holding of breath as important practice of reaching Samadhi. Hatha Yoga also talks about 8 types of pranayama which will make the body and mind healthy.

There is breath beyond your every day inhale/exhale. Combing TRUE BREATH techniques, meditation and a basic understanding of the 8 Limbs, you will start to create space, cultivate calm, and connect with your creative center beyond your mat.

In this workshop you will:
• Learn 7 new breath techniques:
1. Natural Breathing, SamaVritti
2. Basic Abdominal Breathing
3. Yogic Breathing
4. Nadi Shodhana - Alternate Nostril Breathing 
5. Ujjayi Breath
6. Bhramari-Humming Bee Breath
7. Kapalabhati Breath
• Be lead through a short guided meditation with each breath
• The basics of the 8 Limbs of Yoga (The Yamas & Niyamas)
• Improve lung capacity and diaphragm mobility 
• Reduce anxiety and physical tension 
• Stimulate creativity and inspiration

Each session will focus on a theme to release blockages and cultivate a life of freedom and happiness.

We will spend the first half of the session preparing the mind and body with very gentle yoga, relaxed breathing, and a meditation, before we recline onto the mat and allow the powerful vibrations to carry us away. Prepare to melt onto your mat and leave with a deep sense of peace and relaxation. Your Soul will thank you!

• Open to NON-Members OR Members.
• All levels welcome. No experience needed.
• Recommended to bring: Yoga mat, blanket, pillow, eye pillow and water. 
• Inspired does provide mats if needed, on a first come, first serve basis.
