Shannon has incorporated Pilates principles as a seasonal dance teacher for 25 years and as a seasonal dance performer for over 40 years. She is inspired by the gentle, restorative foundation of Pilates’ strengthening and stretching modalities which bring people into a greater connection and understanding of their body, mind, and spirit. After dancing in college and attaining her degree in Journalism at the University of Georgia, Shannon decided to formalize and utilize her love of movement and Pilates Principles. She earned her Dance Mastery and became certified in Balanced Body Movement Principles, Anatomy, Mat, Reformer 1, 2, 3, and Trapeze/Table/Cadillac. Shannon desires to facilitate the mind/body/spirit connection for clients, enabling them to restore and gain greater strength, flexibility, and stamina, and to reach their fullest functional potential.  She takes joy in witnessing people discover stronger, healthier, happier version of themselves. Valuing continuing education, she is currently completing her Comprehensive and Dynamic Spine Certifications. Shannon enjoys spending time with family, exploring the outdoors, and attending various sporting, school, and social events for her 4 active kids.
